Description
If there is no cap on house prices and rents, house prices and rents will keep rising. Rent subsidies, social housing developments and first time buying grants, etc, will help push up the prices, making developers and landlords richer and leaving more and more people homeless. This is all tax payers’ money that could be used for really solving the house and health care crises. Both are basic human rights. It is not in the interest of the government to keep house prices down as this will not help developers and all those people that were in negative equity. As we are following the same scenario as before the bust this will cause another crash, and prices will go down again putting people in negative equity again
